Having become French colony in 1795, the Dominican Republic is then recovered by the Haitian. Then after several transfers between France, Spain and Haiti she acquired her Independence in 1844; Today Dominican Republic is the country of the Caribbean with the highest GDP with a healthy economic progression and a stable policy. Tourism development is one of the main sources of revenue for the country and real estate investments enjoy a very attractive tax system.
